About Aurora

Aurora has worked for NASA (yes, she’s a real rocket scientist), taught on the faculty at Cal Poly State University, did PhD work in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University and for the past 13 years has devoted her time to teaching science to kids. While teaching at the university level, she was surprised by how many students were lacking in a strong science background, so she decided to do something about it. Today, her science education materials have been used by well over 100,000 students in more than 13 countries. She has personally taught science to over 25,000 children through her hands-on classes and workshops. Her philosophy is simple: Get kids excited to learn science and teaching it to them is easy (plus they’ll remember it for a lifetime).
